Nordic cooperation in FPV technology
Kolibri Defence and Denmark-based Nordic Advanced Systems (NAS) are strengthening Nordic cooperation in unmanned aerial systems by integrating European-made avionics and ESCs into Kolibri Defence FPV platforms.
The cooperation combines Kolibri Defence’s expertise in FPV drone development with NAS flight-control and power-electronics technology, supporting the development of capable, reliable and increasingly European-built drone systems.
Intelligent European avionics
NAS develops and manufactures advanced flight controllers and ESCs for demanding unmanned aircraft applications. The systems provide a flexible foundation for integrating sensors, communication systems and other mission-specific equipment into Kolibri Defence platforms.
NAS avionics are developed around an NDAA-compliant component strategy, supporting customers with strict requirements for trusted electronics, procurement compliance and supply-chain security.
The cooperation also supports a more resilient European supply chain by reducing dependency on non-European critical drone electronics.
From Nordic engineering to operational capability
By combining Finnish FPV drone expertise with Danish avionics development, Kolibri Defence and Nordic Advanced Systems aim to accelerate the development of adaptable, high-performance FPV platforms for demanding operational environments.
